stage 6 motor built by max rpm.pvl,28mm carb, trackside pipe.

ran good with the ported koso, put the haggerty on and it runs like a raped ape but after holding it pinned on a straight around 12,000 rpm and let off of it,get right back on it and it will bogg ever so slightley.jetting seems to be on with a 145/42 jet set-up.no bogging out the gate or out of the turns.it will carry the front wheels off the gate and out of the turns if pinned.this is only a high rpm problem.

on another note what do you all think a 30mm carb will gain me?

Minarelli, KX65 or CR85 reed cage?

30 mm carb needs the CR85 cage

Minarelli or KX65 will pull better with the 28mm

Where is the Float bowl set? Could you possibly be having a touch of starvation?

Don't know the proper advance on the PVL for your cylinder is it by the book?
Do you have the green wire going to ground instead of being taped off?

Have you done a leak down on the intake?

We have two and they both leak. Not a problem when you know it, identify the leaks and plug them but real trouble when you don't. Can lead to overheating and holes in pistons.............trust me.

Ours both bog a bit at the top when they are a touch lean or slightly leaking and absolutely blast when the mix becomes right. We normally have mid-range bog issues when we are off primarily from being a touch fat on the needle and main.

It's a 70cc and it takes the stock style reeds.
