cylinder w stroker crank question

hey guys i kno this guy who has a 250r he recently picked up and the 350 cylinder that came on it is trashed so i sold him a oem cylinder w piston kit and the cylinder i sold is NOT ported and his lower end has a hot rods 4 mm stroked crank so the question is can he simply bolt it up and ride or will he have to get it ported to work properly w the stroker???? also does he need to run his spacer plate?

He'll definitely have to get it ported. The port timing on the cylinder is all based around the stock stroke length, a +4mm stroker changes all the port timings.

you would be suprised what will run. The port timing will be off, but I'm sure it will work. Just be careful what head is on it, what's the squish and what octane fuel you use. Otherwise, unless its set up right a stock cylinder motor will likely hand it to yah as the port timings would be anybody guess.
