my sons eton 90 viper(2 stroke) just now started to giving us a problem. It ran great last time it ran. It was sitten for about 2 or 3 weeks. Well we went to start it up and and usually after the 5 or 6 kick with choke on it fired up....now you have to turn the choke off and hold the thottle open to get it to stay running but eventually after a few seconds it cuts off. the plug is new and carb is clean and it does have fire. The only problem we had in the past was pulling the kill switch cord out and didnt cut off right away but gave it gas and bogged down itself down.

do you have the stock air filter? if you do check to see if it come apart between the air box and the rubber boot my did that causing a lean run the rubber is very hard . i replaced it with a red uni filter and fattend up the main jet to 125 and solved that problem and gained more power good luck Bill
