4900 with a reserve wont get many bids... you should just do a buy it now might have more luck

If someone makes a $100 bid, reserve is met. It's at 5k

why not? this is the second time I've ever sold anything on ebay, so help me out. I was thinking someone could just bid on it, reserve is automatically met with the first bid. I dunno, made sense to me. Why would you not buy something with a reserve? If I keep it auction style, it would give a fair chance if more than one person wanted it..

it makes me think that there is no way im getting a deal,,

with your starting price at about the price you want just start bidding there, no secrets just an honesty price,,,
either use a high buy it now with make an offer or start bidding price at what you want to get for it

put 5500 or best offer
or just start bidding at 5000 no reserve
or reserve at 5000 and starting price at zero

the problem with buying something like this from ebay is no real way to check it out and then you have to add another $400 to the price for shipping.. I know craigslist is a pain in the arss but dont except emails only calls it removes a lot of tire kickers
