my old motherboard i believe went bad. my computer would not turn on when i pressed the power button. and i read somewhere that u jump to wires and it turn everything on but once you take to wires away it should stay on and if it doesnt the mother board is bad. did that and that why i beleive my motherboard is bad.
so today i my new mother board which is the same as my old one(same part number) came in the mail i installed it and it still wont turn on.
any computer guys out there that can help me.:confused:

Its your power supply.

Thats what takes your 120v and steps it down to the voltage's it needs to run the computer.

That’s a common problem. Get a good one and don't skimp on the price. The good ones are worth it.

Check your power strip as well if thats what your using. Make sure that it didnt trip

not the power strip i was just plugging it into a wall out let just to check to see if it would work. i havent tried diffrent power supply yet nut im will by the end of the night all my computer stuff is at my moms house.

def the power supply. Ive seen this happen way too often. Usually happens are cheaper pc's because they skimp out on the quality parts
