View Full Version : Anyone remove their overflow bottle?

I saw Rich17 Racing has a setup to remove the overflow tank. I assume you just run a line from the radiator cap overflow down the frame so it just drains to the ground?

Yup that's basically all it does.

I have a leftover brakeline clamp i'm going to use and just pick up some hose. Thanks for the info guys.

but what happens when it does over heat during a race? (for a guy like me who has no trailer to put extra fluids)

its basically the same as the dirtbikes, you dont fill the radiator to the top, that is the key, leave some expansion room and you shouldnt blow much out. but with this being said, have the catch tank is way better then taking it off, all the factory bike teams have overflow tanks installed, allows for more coolant in the system and its just an overall better idea to have the overflow

mount a polaris over flow to your shroud it looks good and works good
