i just bought a used web cam grind number 493 729 and just wanted to see if i could put the cam right in or if i had to do any valve train modifications first

what compression piston?? make sure your timing is right, it wouldnt be a bad idea to check clearance and degree of your timing

im going to run a 13:1 piston with it. i just wanted to make sure i dont have to put heavier valve springs in and change valve guides or any thing

you should check them to make sure they are in spec

yea, according to their site you need shortened guides, larger buckets, and spring kit. its a pretty large cam
