Hey guys... I recently purchased the lower section of the engine.. and i can't find my book... what i need to know... what am i gonna need to assemble the top to the bottom??? pins? gaskets? and i think i'm gonna need a timing chain as well... what do we have for recomendations???? and is there anything else i need to look for???
Thanks in advance...
You can get a manual free online, use some google fu.
Anyways if your just replacing the gaskets your gonna need all the case and top end gaskets, 3/8 and 1/4 torque wrench, basic socket set of course, some larger sockets to yank the clutch off (there is a larger nut inside there you gotta take off if your gonna play with the clutch), a clutch holding tool (rocky mtn has a cheap tusk one that works), etc.
Download the manual tho, it will tell you much better than I can.

Why do i need to take the clutch out??? I'm just swapping crankcases.... should have used that word in my other post..... or do i need to do the clutch to get at the timing chain??
Need to get it off to get access to the timing chain properly.
