I ran the 661 cyclones. More of a guard, but offers hyperextention resistance. I ran the thor forces for a while. Really good protection but waaaay too bulky for my likings.

I wear knee guards solely to keep the insides of my knees from getting rubbed raw. Ive got some 661s and i cant remember what else

same here but i just by the cheap volleyball knee pads and turn the padding to the inside.

I've tried pads to keep my knees from getting bruised, without much luck. The pads usually end up bunching up and digging into the skin on the inside of my knees. I tried some asterick braces for a while since I have bad knees anyway, but not much luck, as I grip the tank to hold on quite a bit. It just felt wierd.

i hold onto the tank alot too. maybe a habit to break on gnarly trails...get some pretty nasty bruises after a good ride.

definitely not a habit to get rid of.... you just need to find a way to stop getting all bruised up...

I wear Thor knee braces... don't race, but they are great for trail riding. Not too uncomfortable or heavy.

I wear a Donjoy on my left knee. I CANNOT ride without it. I have some unknown ligament damage and even with the brace i can feel my knee "move" on real hard landings sometimes. It works. Period. you can find good deals on non moto x braces on Ebay. They are athletic type and do the same thing as high priced Asterisks or others. You just have to know what size to get. That is the most important part.

i have thor forces now and am looking for something less bulky... and that bends easier... they want to stay straight more than bending with my knee

i wear knee braces now, i use to wear knee pads then i crashed hard and my leg came off the peg and over the nerf bar goin 4th gear wide open over a little roller and this happened....... great reason to wear knee braces! a 1200 dollar brace is alot cheaper than a 30k ACL repair, always remember that lol

I just used the el cheapo $25 fox knee guards. They were a LOT better than nothing at all, and I fell on them a few times and they saved my knees!

When your not wearing them try taking your straps and strapping them down where they are fully bent. Thats what I did with mine and if you keep them like that when your not riding it helps break them in.

After messing my right knee up, I invested in EVS Web braces...carbon fiber ones. After a few months of wearing them, I couldn't imagine riding without them. No more bruises either.

i just picked up some answer alpha knee guards... really similar to the thor forces but it is a 3 peice design that bends with no effort in the way you want it to but still has hyperextension protection. tomorrow will be my first time riding with them so idk how they are yet. but from just trying them on they feel alot nicer than my thors
