well its been a little while but i made some more progress with it...the buyer that wanted to buy it backed out of the deal so i decided to keep it for my self. heres a list of things that im going to do to it..

-new piston bored .40 over, stock compression, as you can see in the pic of the piston on the crank the previous owner ran it out of oil

-sparks key

-using the stock header so i am going to grind out the flanges that restrict the pipe, and i am using a fmf powercore 4 silencer

-Hotcam stage 2 old style

-ported head

and a yfz450 carb

i want to do the mods 1 step at a time so i can give a write up on what effect the mods have.

here are some pictures, i originally painted the frame silver but i wanted to make it different....i had a can of hammered black and i made it look like a reverse silvervein, i also used this on the mag and clutch cover to give it a unique look...may also do this to the valve cover but im not sure yet.

i also tore the engine down completely and has started to put her all back together.

Alot of guys I used to offroad with painted thier rock sliders (nerf bars) with hammered paint, it is really tough and hard to scratch.

Yea and they used those rock sliders on rocks. I mean of course they got scratched up overtime but the finish is quite tough.

I spray bombed my frame (with motor still in it) with some plain jane rustoleum smoke gray (super close to the ex color) and its held up great for 2+ years riding in pure sand which can be quite abrasive.
