Is the 2009 Z400 much better than the old Z's? In terms of power?

I dont know I would say there is a whole lot more power but throttle response is a lot better. I think the 09 pulls harder on bottom than the older bikes. I have one for sale if you're looking to buy...

They got one dynoed on the web and it was at 40hps with just programer/pipe/400ex air intake/filterkit !That awesome #,s for 400 cc,s IMO.

I bought my 400 to just trail ride. I started getting into racing and added hmf exhaust, pro design air filter, moose nerfbar/heelguards, GTThunder suspension, tether cord, rath bumper, dg grab bar. It was just recently stripped to the frame and everything was painted, bearings replaced. Raced it prob 4 times then bought a LTR just because I wanted the extra power and 99% of my Riding is racing now. If I was just trail riding I would deff stick with the 400 just because it's lower maintinence and set up for woods right out of the box.


I would take $3500 for mine. It has the airfilter cleaned every ride and oil changed every 2-4hrs. Might take less if you would be interested in stock shocks instead of the GT rebuilds.

I had an 05 about 5 yrs ago that I trail rode and rode at the track. I ended up crashing it at the track and sold it to pay medical bills.....

I just recently bought an 09. I only trail ride now, and I think this is absolutely the perfect ride for trails. No hiccups and throttle response is great. I haven't put much seat time on it yet, but so far, I love it! Thats a pretty good price too....

Just google 2009 Z400 dyno,s and it will list people that have dynoed the new EFI Z400 theres a couple dyno,s !
