What are the best 400ex sand tires for the back? Itp Sandstars, Maxxis razr blade, or Skat-Trak Haulers?

Haulers are usually what people like, I find them to be a bit more of a drag and hill climbing tire b/c of the straight blade of the paddle. Bit harder to turn using them tho, you learn how to move your body to do it better tho.

The razr blades and sandstars are V shaped paddles. Less traction than the haulers but enough, much easier to turn. Beware they are directional and need to be on the proper side in order to work right.

Yeah I know I've used sand tires before but they weren't the best.. One of my friends has the Sandstars he likes them for side hilling but doesn't like having not as much as traction

Skat trak. If you don't like Haulers, they make V paddles, which still hook up better than sand stars

8 Paddle Haulers are the best, I like my Sand Geckos, but I love my Aunt's Haulers.

21x12x8 6pdl extreme haulers for the 400. I have ran itps,8 pdl hauler,7pdl,extreme haulers and 6pdl extreme haulers. The 6 pdl extremes were by far the best set for the 400. Easy to manuver and will allow you to stay on top of the sand on take off and not dig.

Size and paddle count are dependant entirely on where you ride, and how you ride. Different places have different types of sand, and different types of hills.

Nothing to crazy.. Did you drop a sproket in the front down one size?

Don't say dune riders are wasting there money, and then tell us not to defend ourselves.

And 6 paddles aren't too extreme for a 400 in most cases. I've ran 8's on my 416 and they work great in Oregon.

I had a full exhaust,k&n air filter,no lid,and 1 tooth smaller in front on my 400ex. I run 21x12x8 7pdl. extremes on my 450r. I ride oregon dunes.

I think {THE LANE} needs to go on a good fast dune ride and he will have a different opinion

Lol thats the point. for some reason you feel like you need to defend yourself because someone has a different opinion of something.

I didnt say everyone who goes duning is wasting their money. I said i feel like spending my money on it is a waste. big difference. Just chill and dont get so defensive! :)

i like my sandstars. im not a huge hill climber but but when you doing sand trails or want to slam it around real fas theyre great. really depends on the type/condition of sand though paddle wise. along with riding type/style.
