im pretty sure i have one laying somewhere in my basement, i bought it used from someone else and ran it on one of my old 400s, i really should find it to run on the 426.
It was a really nice product and i loved it.

X3,
To all you new guys on the forum now,
If you are looking to make some more power on your 400EX, a 450r carb is a very good way to do that without breaking the bank.

They are a benefit, on a realitively stock engine, all the way up to a highly modified engine.
The more engine upgrades you have,.... is all the more reason, to have the 450r carb.

Using one of ZR's custom made adapters makes the installation VERY easy.
He does QUALITY work, is a great guy to deal with, and is a very knowledgeable member , who has contributed greatly here on this forum.

I Highly recommend using one of his adapters, when you are considering going to a 450r carb.

I got to agree with everybody. The adapter makes the install so easy. Looks nice too. As far as performance, the 450r carb is a great mod for the money. Smoother throttle, choke works better, and more mid to top power. Thats was on a stock motor with full exhaust. I'm doing a 11:1 416 piston now and I can't wait to see what its gonna do.

I'm curious as to what you did with the choke on the 450r carb, to make it work better.
Did you modify the 450r choke lever ?
or did you fab up something different ?

Can you please post up some pics of your carb / choke lever set-up ?

Thanks,
looking forward to seeing what you did here.

Well I'm working on making some kind of lever that will work the choke. I've been using a long pair of pliers. What I meant earlier by is works better was that u can set the choke start it and walk away and it will stay running. I couldn't really do that with the stock carb. Seem Like with the stock carb, every time I'd choke it and start it would run for a sec. Then die a couple of times before it would stay running. Thats why I took out my choke on my stock carb. And cause of better throttle response.

When I get something made up I will post some pics. Or has anybody else made some type of lever for it. I'd like to get some ideas myself.
