AlaskaJim just cancelled his PEP order after his 16th week of waiting and no shocks....

Axis in 2-3 weeks for a couple hundred more or PEP's 3+ months with no guarantee of when they'll be in. I'd go with Axis, personally. Plus, there's only a handful of people on this board that could really tell the difference anyway.

Talked to Mark last night and he said not much longer.. Yea ok. Well I know from talking with Jim on the phone that the story kept changing. When he first ordered them I believe he was told it would be several weeks. After that time period expired he called back and they told him a couple more weeks. At the 12th week he called and they told him about 4 more weeks. At the 16th week they could no longer even give him a time frame. Several weeks more of waiting and Jim finally cancelled.

And also u can get them quicker u just have to ask. When i ordered them he said like 4 months and i told them i need them bad so he said **** see what he can do and i got them in 3 months. Thats one whole month shorter. PEP's wait is still too long. Doesn't everyone call in and say they need them bad? I mean, I don't know of too many people that call in and say "Yeah, 5-6 month wait is fine. Call me when they're done." Also, the demand for PEP shocks is obviously there. Why don't they hire some help? Knowledge is to be shared, can't Wayne train someone to work with him? I'd love to have a set of PEP's but I'm also not willing to wait months and months for them. And truthfully, I couldn't tell you the difference in riding them probably. If you covered all the shocks up so I couldn't see them and asked me to ride each set I doubt I could identify which is which. That's probably true for 98% of this board.

I agree that there wait is way to long and may be to long for some to consider ordering. They should definately get some more people working there. Also im not just saying o i need them soon cuz then they get them when ur time is ready. If you give them a specific date they will get it to u as long as its not a ridiculous time like 2 weeks. If its reasonable they will help u out. Still a long wait but its shorter

with pep valving what happens if you say that you are like 240 but really you are 220, rico told me to do that with works... would it just make the shocks stiffer??

ya the wait is rediclous....6 months for a set of shocks... and why exactly does it take so long... i know he probably does the pro racers shocks first and then does the order ones... then why does elka, axis all just take 2 weeks???

the reason PEP's wait is so long is because wayne is doing your shocks not some nobody who has no clue what there doing, wayne has been doing shocks for a long time, shocks are all about valving thats why i think its well worth the wait, don't order something cause the wait is shorter cause when you get em your not gonna be happy, i rode my peps for the first time today and all i have to say is i would wait double the time if i had to, it was well worth it

Our EX shocks came from Baldwin in the time frame he told us. The C-dale came with pep's on them. Baldwin has always done our rebuilds in a rather quick turnaround time. When we thought about our Houser/YZF project we ordered from Baldwin. 16 weeks later we took the Axis from Houser. So far we cant tell which one is better. We will find out this season.
