tech 8s, sg10s, or crossfires

im torn on which boot to get for atv motocross. ive tried on new sg10s and was real impressed on the flexibility and i also like the buckle system. i also tried on new sidi crossfires they seemed a bit stiffer but also a comfortable boot. I havent got the chance to try on the new tech 8s yet tho. Ive worn alpinestar vectors for the past 5 yrs and i love the comfort. what boot do you guys think i will be most satisfied with in the long run? -Max

my friends dad he rides a ktm 505 and love's his crossfires. if i remember right the tech 8's were what he had before and they held up good. alpinestar's are what i ride on and love them. my modo with gear is 1 protection 2 comfort

All good choices. I swear by the Tech 8's, they're like the tried and true fallbacks. They can be a bit stiff at first, but once they wear in they are quite comfortable and flexible. I used to have Vectors as well and the Tech 8's have a lot better support IMO.

You can't discount the SG10's and Crossfires too though. They will probably feel way better out of the box since they have the hinged ankle joints. Best bet is to try them all and see which feels the best. Just keep in mind the Tech 8's will probably feel the stiffest out of the box.

I have the vectors now & i only wear ankle high socks, they feel so good. I hear alot of people use the tech 3. they are 200. guess its how much money you have to spend.

Up until this previous year, I have always has MSR boots. Then I finally broke down and bought some SG10's. Simply put, I love them! Granted I have never tried on a different type of expensive boot, but i absolutely love them. I have a big foot, about a 13, and they are awesome. I ride cross country and motocross on a bike and quad, and they are amazing on both. Gaerne all the way!

thnx for the input guys im gonna try and find a pair of tech 8s to try on before i make a decision. im deffinately buying a new pair this time that way they last me awhile.

I swear by the tech 8s, although all my other boots have been cheapos so they're not really comparable. When I wear this set out, I'll be gettin another pair of 8s. Wore a friends Tech 10s once and didn't like them as much.

You can't even compare Sidi's to the other 2. Not even close. Sidi hands down has the best boot available.

I LOVE my Sidi Crossfire SRS's. I never even had them on my feet till the Florida GNCC and they felt great the entire race there straight out of the box. About half a season them and they feel as comfortable as my work boots.

Wore tech 8's for probably 8 years or so and loved them. Switched to tech 10's til I stopped riding and liked the 10's better.
