i am setting my bike to be dune racing quad i was wondering what size for the front and back size sprocket would i want to buy?

your gonna want 13/39 or close to it.

i run the 39/15 but im not racing.......heres wat i kinda figured up idk if it will help

i think im gunna go to a 37/14

gear ratios::
39/13-3 39/14- 2.78 **39/15-2.6
38/13-2.91 38/14-2.71 38/15-2.53
37/13-2.84 *37/14-2.64 37/15-2.46
36/13-2.76 36/14-2.57 36/15-2.40

mine is accurate around 8800 rpm. 70mph in 4th gear with 16/39.

you wont know how many rpms your putting out until you know your top speed. I try to get a top speed read in 4th gear because unless you have really short gearing you wont get full rev in 5th.

then you can adjust the calculator to get actual numbers.

with dunes, your probally gonna run paddles, I have 21in skat trak hauler 8 paddles, if I want any good speed or rev after 3rd I need to run a 13/39. anything taller has no power after 3rd.

im runnin a 20 in sand star, 15/39 i can run 5th in dunes.....but its like overdrive, bout robs the power, im gunna move to a 14/37, i have excellent power in 3rd and 4th but want a lil more out of it so i thinkjus a lil more

Im running a 14th front and 39 tooth rear with 20" Sand Stars... so far i love it. Easy to drop second on the up hill drags and still enough top end for sand highway.
