ya, old news. i think most people are just building their own instead of paying 10k lol

$10,000 ain't a bad price. Stock YFZ+ aftermarket parts+ YZF250 engine+Fabrication would be more.

yeah when i first saw it i was like hmm 10k for a mini quad but then i read its a fullsize lonestar yfz frame so you can put a 450 motor in when your kid is ready and like was stated above all of the stuff your getting probably is near 10k worth

yeah, if someone made a brand new hybrid 450 for $10,000, I would consider it.

ya, but it's not a 450. we built one. we bought a fully built long travel yfz450 with all the goodies on ebay for 3k then a freshly rebuilt yz250f motor for $900 and did the fab work our self. it's not that hard. it has the best of everything except it's a stock frame and not a lone star but i don't think the kids break to many stock yfz frames. i'd just soon put the other 6k into something else myself. we also ebayed the 450 motor for $1500 so i guess we really only had about $2,500 in it. even if you had to pay to have it fabbed it wouldn't cost $7,500! lol just my 2 cents

Did you have a brand new quad when you were done, or a low hour one?

Its nice to have options. Buying new vs DYI.

i agree. apex does make good stuff. we have raced their minis. some people mow their own lawns and some people hire the neighbor kid to do it. if your pockets are deep enough i'd say but it.

Your experience is the best case scenario. You got a GOOD deal on the YFZ450 and the 250F engine. You also had the skill to fab up everything you needed(which i admire,as I have to do most of my work too). Most people just don't. Also, Apex can't sell it for what it cost to build it. They are in business to make a living. You pay for them to deal with all the hassles, new parts, and fabricating.
