Just depends on your application.

Depends on your setup. i got fmf powerbomb, fmf titanium exhaust, k@n powerlid, and outerwears prefilter and the shop dynod it and the 04-05 produces more power.

They will both produce more power but the 06+ is better (In my opinion and many other peoples) because it is MUCH more adjustable when tuning. The AP squirt can be timed easier, parts are easier to come by and the biggest difference is that the 04-05 does not have a leak jet. So if you get that horrific snap of the throttle bog as many do, there is no sure fire way to get rid of it sense you cant change the leak jet like you can on the fcr carb.

I think the 05, 450r carb is the best.

That bog is a minor jetting change.

When putting the 450r carb on a 400ex is rejetting necessary or unapplicable...about to purchase an 05 to go with my 406, stage 2 cam, and hmf full system...wondering if i need to go ahead an get different jetting for my application..i run no airbox lid and k&n filters

You seem to know something about the 40mm fcr... can you tell me what u'll put on main, pilot, f/s... with this setup

416 12.5:1
HC stg 3
p&p with race-cuts
HMF full pipe
of course the FCR40mm from a 2006 450ER (with no hot start to plug I think!) The carb have a ''dual spray venturi jet kit'' from athena on it.

thx
