I have a feeling this is a pretty old shock, just confirming, Is this a works shock? I cant seem to find any pictures of works shocks like this. The bottom clevis is different. Also is it a ultracross, quadcross, etc.

I am not sure what shock it is... but can you give some more info to help figure it out?

Is the body completely threaded?
Is the reservoir adjustable? Any pics?

looks like a works shock to me. if it is a damaged works i wouldnt buy it. works shocks perform good when they are fresh, but they seem to wear out very quick and need reserviced often. just my experience with them.

Here is another picture, Ive already bought this shock and I like working on shocks so it should work out good for me. Just wanna try something other than a OEM for the first time. The shock body is threaded half way down the body. It is compression and rebound adjustible.

I dont think Works ever had a clevis end like that.

Im wondering if it isint a very old custom axis. I saw one listed on ebay as a custom axis that looked exactly like this. Also custom axis's bottom clevis looks similar today only thicker. I dont know if race tech ever made a rear shock for the 250r? If they have, i have never seen one.

Even though that shock is old, the low quality look, just dont look up to par with being an Axis brand, not unless it was some sort of test bed they were trying years ago.

Race Tech had shock parts & could be a clevis end they offered for the Works.

Top part looks like a Works.
Who knows, as many different companys that Works sold shock parts to for them to build a shock of their own, its no telling.

Ill get some better pictures next time im home, also i will take it apart and see what the valve looks like, to see if its a shim style or ball and spring type.

In the meantime anyone have any other light to shead?
