Drums for a year and a half, full range percussion from Tympani to Set at the school, along with a set at home.

Slight knowledge in electric/acoustic guitar, also a bit of piano, but its been a while since I've played piano.

Also know a lot about recording drums/guitar, and producing/editing music.

I was a professional musician for most of my life.

started touring junior year of highschool.

Played in a few bands,

played the warped tour twice (two seperate years i mean)

Toured internationally.

Band was nominated for a grammy.

Endorsed by Jackson/Fender Guitars, Krank Amplification, Peavey Amplification, and DR strings.

Since then i have quit the music world and Released all my endorsements, Now i just ride! :)

Never made any money :P

The largest band i was in was called Back From Ashes

Since i have left they have seriously dropped off the radar, our label dropped them, Producer Dropped them, Publicist they cant pay for any more. lol its kinda poetic justice for them being such ***holes.

Acoustic guitar for 7 months, wish I was younger and didn't have to work for a living so I could invest more time. Oh well it is what it is. If you are younger then now is the time to start, because every year you put it off just takes away from the time you could be spending on learning.:D

One thing I have found is that after you have learned an instrument to pretty high level and you stop for awhile. It’s not that hard to pick it back up and be as good as you were before. Yes you have to retrain your self but the learning curve is very short.
That’s what I like about playing guitar, I’ll always have one sitting around so when I feel the need I can get my jam on.lol

Drums for about 12 years.

I got a drum kit when I was 6, but I only had it for about 4 years. I played one simple beat for 2 years lol. I never got lessons.

When I was 16 I got horrible kit from my dads' friend. It was something you'd find in a dumpster. I picked up quick and learned way more stuff. I didn't bother with covers because they were pretty hard. I went through like 10 versions of SOADs' toxicity before learning the actual, and it's the only cover I played for a few years lol. I got a Westbury kit when I was around 19.

When I was 21ish (now 23) I tried to get serious with it, and learned some Deftones songs (Risk, Bloody Cape, Needles & Pins, Passenger, Digital Bath). I havn't quite figured out Passenger and Digital Bath. I'm playing Risk, Bloody Cape, and Needles & Pins note for note now (pretty sure - I don't read music), and I learned those in maybe 3 months. I've got most of Slipknots' Before I Forget down (I can also sing it like a champ when I'm alone lol), I learned a lot in the process, and I learned mostly by ear & good youtube vids. Also know some Nirvana (Teen Spirit), Tool (46 & 2 solo.. kinda lol), and Limp Bizkit (all of - My Way, Break Stuff). I play for about 1 hour a day, after that I'm just dying.

I wanted to try playing in a band, so I went on kijiji back in like September and found a freakin' amazing local guitarist, and we found a bassist just yesterday after going through a few. I'm not nearly as good as my guitarist and he's like Dimebag on the solo's for real! He's got about 10 songs of his own and they're great, I just have to come up with beats for them. We've got this one amazing song (City Of Angels http://www.myspace.com/vivideyerecords/music/songs/city-of-angels-77124037) pretty much figured out, and I'll bet it'd be our single. We're called Vivid Eye, but we're thinking of changing it to Mind F*** or Vivid Meyend F*** or something cool like that. We'll be recording & mixing soon!

Here's me playing Deftones' Needles & Pins. I messed up a part at the end because I didn't know what Abe was playing [at the time]. My snare was broken, so it sounded flat.

Been a drummer since about 10, did some midwest touring with my old band called "The Management" we got signed to a decent Indie label and played some large festivals. Kinda realized it was going to put all of our lives on hold, forever it seemed, to go anywhere big and we all just stuck with it through college and now we all of jobs and families and stuff. Now I realized its just a fun hobby and play in a alternative cover band on the weekends I'm not riding to make some extra loot for the quad hobby.
