some bottomend questions.

ok well im goin to look at a 04 and a 05 450r. their both pretty nice quads. but iv heard about the bad cranks and crank bearings. but my question is how can u tell if these are goin bad? wont the engine see like its got alotmore vibration on the bottom end area then normal? or?? im a 1st timer goin to look at a 450 and just lookin for some buyers guid tips when lookin for mechanical failer and worn out motors. lol

there is no way of telling if the main bearings are on their way out. you can pull out the oil filter and check for shavings if the seller will let you. Just remember, anything can break at any time, what is good today could let go tomorrow, its the chance you take when you buy used
