Ok I might be geting the money 4 my rancher this weekend. I want to get a SPORT QUAD and i don't know what to go with? 400 EX 400 Z are Raptor???
the raptor has big gun full race seires exhaust system,and a jet kit
i would prob. use it for a little play and i want to race XC TT are MX
Which one is the best all round quad 4 that
the only thing i don't like about EX is they are air cooled:ermm:
and i just want SPEEDDDD could you make a moded 400 beat a moded Raptor? Please Let me know what you guys think i should get. Thanks

I know the sparks racing 465 kit can make you faster than almost any raptor but they are pretty $$$. I wouldn't get a raptor but for me it would be a tough choice between a z400 and 400ex but it would pry be a 400ex just cuz I know how to work on em' and have a lot of time in em'

whatever speed the rappy has over the EX, the ex will make up for it in handling. its very rare to see a rappy racing anything around here..xc,tt, mx..etc..
the Z-400 is lookin pretty sweet tho. the only legitimate problem ive heard of on the Z is that the swingarm is located way high up on the back of the engine, making the rear suspension lock up when you pin the throttle...
the air-cooled 397cc engine on the EX is ok on cooling until you start modding your top end..then it starts to overheat very easily...so if you dont plan on a big-bore kit etc...the EX would be a great choice.

Get the 400ex...although their air cooled their still one of the most reliable quads out there. I actually like air cooling...it makes working on them a breeze.

if you soop up a rapter and a 400ex the rapter will still kill it no madder what you do. if you what speed and power go with the rapter and if you what the handling then get the 400ex

Personally i would go for the 400Ex because i dont like raptors and the 400 i like the handeling better....

if you are gonna be doing any racing i wouldnt think a raptor would be a great choice, ive seen one raptor at the races ive been too, it dnf'ed, it wasnt the raptors fault that a tie rod snapped, but its pretty obvious that youre not going to get anywhere in the racing world on a raptor. Think about how many raptors that you have seen being ridden by top riders.

I say either Raptor or Z, at my local tracks, these are the 2 machines besides the 250R's, that are dominating, last weekend the Raptor was absolutely annihalating everyone else in the class. But I do believe he was a really good rider, so I say get a Z.

i would go with the 400ex because of the avabltly of parts and because you are just coming off a rancher and if you REALLY need liquid cooling fst makes a kit for about 2 grand

I'd get the 400ex even though it is air cooled. Liquid cooling might be more trouble like if the radiator leaked or something because of a hole from a stick or rock hitting it. Just my opinion though.
