dieing problem HELP 300EX

i have an 03 300ex bone stock and it runs great for an hour or two then acts like it running out of gas then dies the first time we got it started butran like poo but limped back to the truck. this time it sputterd once and died but would not start. it seem to be getting worse and has realy shaken my trust in the bike any thoughts would be very welcome thanks

I would start with the carb. Does it still run good a for a little while then give problems? If so I would clean the bowl real good. Also check the needle. 300ex is bad about droping the needle. Make sure the clip is in the middle groove.

If that's not the problem you need to swap the cdi with another one.

maybe your coil getting hot and quitting. what does it do when it cool's off? Does it run good or does it as you say still run like poo?

it has allways acted up at the end of the day so we dont try to start it tell in the morning and it fires up perfuctly without even needing choke
