ok so ive narrowed my choices of a new quad down to the ltr450. trx450r and the Kfx450.

i plan to buy a 450 with slight mods to race here in ireland. im looking for something thats mainly standard but has got the bolt ons. ill be racing in a class which is for stock machines.
could somebody make a list of the pros and con's of each?

thanks

ltr-pain in butt to work on with the electric and 3rd gear but the best shocks if ur keeiping it stock, i would go with that.
trx youll break the frame but the motor will run forever
kawi good overall but not better then the ltr.

No question if it's stock, LTR hands down. The width alone makes it that much better.

the trx is the cheaper option. i like the kawi because it has reverse.i would be keeping it mainly stock besides some things to make the ride more comfortable, and definetly stock shocks.

I have a friend that just switched to a TRX from a LTR because it cost so much more to repair the LTR. He had 3 transmissions put in his LTR at a cost of around 2-3 grand a pop. The TRX is cheaper to repair.

Try 700 2-3 grands outrageous price the trans only really breaks your racing hardcore! They all have problems people are so fast to say this and that about a quad and are giving alot of bad info ! honda ,kawi, canam, ktm yami have as many if not more problems! 3 grand would get me used quad for that!

My friends third gear kept going out. Even after putting in special gears that were supposed to hold up.
Another friend did the same thing but is holding up after installing better parts. In fact 3 of my friends had transmission problems with the ltr.
The only problems I’ve herd with a trx is letting the gears slow you down in a corner the head would blow.
But I’ve only herd this , never seen it happen.
The only Kawasaki I’ve ridden seemed to run great but it was very hard to keep in a strait line.
I never knew which way it was going to go.lol

what kind of racing you gonna be doing.

If it's XC then go with the honda.

MX then go with the LT.
