Quick question guys.. does anyone know approx. how much it would cost to get one? I told my uncle I'd ask for him because he needs a new motor, used of couse.

All ya gotta do is find an old army truck or one of the few civvy ones running around.

Look at online army auctions, govt surplus type stuff to find one would be your best bet.

if I had to guess, max a grand.

I Would say 10 or less, don't know much about chevys though

A thirsty engine like that maybe 10-12 mpg at best, regearing it for the larger tires will help as well. But you gotta remember its a larger engine and it eats gas, a v8 was made for power not mpg.
