im stuck here

derisi rebuil w/ piston thingy(Pro Millenium) valving, oil, and springs= 350$

vs.

Elka rebuild w/ springs, valving, oil= 300

see the thing is there was a case when some1 had a elka rebuild and he felt they needed to be recharged so it ended up that elka didnt eaven change the valving/new oil. they could tell because in order to change the oil there is a little cap that is tac welded one or someting that has to be removed and it was still like stock never touched meaning they only re-springed it. so im afraid of getting ripped.

And i have heard the pro millenium kit is great so im not sure right now what should i do? any input?

personally i'd definatley go with the pro millenium. i've also heard A TON off great things about the race tech works revalve.

Well I got the Elka and like it, but if I ever get my shocks revalved they will be going to Santo if he will revalve them. Them Elka's would be something else with a Pro Millenium setup in them. I would go for it...

what is his number? or does he have a site? I'm looking into getting a rear rebuild

Do you think it would be best to get an elka rebuild since I have elka fronts.....or would his rebuild be better when with the elka fronts???????

I have Elka fronts and a DeRisi revalved rear, and they work great together. If you run a lot of sag in the back you may need to talk to him about valving a little stiffer.

Derisi di the Pro millenium mod to my Works Triple rates and They now feel better than the Elka's(yes they were valved for my weight and riding ability and style) that I raced the 12 hrs of America on. The difference is night and day.

OCCRA288 do you think Santo would revalve/rebuild my Elka's if I called and asked to have it done later on?

He probably would. Just have to e-mail him and ask. I mailed Santo for probably 3-4 weeks of quastiona everyday before I sent my shocks to him. Just ask him I'm sure he'll do it.

is his rear rebuild have a ssd spring or is it just a single rate?

Wingnut, can i try out your quad at the gncc race so i can get a feel of your deresi rear rebuilt shock.?;)

Anyone can put gold series valves in a stock rear shock..I had marcums do mine,,but it didn't come with the fancy pro millinium name??? My point is,,santa uses the same valves most other people use and I'm sure he does a great job..i've heard lots of good things about his work..just seems a little high to me...

Send your stocker to marty at the quadshop..he'll take care of it for ya and it'll be dual rate...;)

im definately not sending any of my parts to marcums again.g

How is deresi expensive? I was quoted $250 for the pro millenium rebuild for the stock shock. Quad shop wants a little over $300 dont they?

One spring can be just as good as 2. I think that if the shock is valved and sprung right it is going to work.

I beg to differ! I have seen some of DeRisi's Pro Millenium pistons and i know that they are not the race tech gold valves! He is getting his own pistons machined out himself. He also done the same with the works and PEP front shocks. That is what i have from him.
