ok so Im pritty sure i got a cracked piston. now the hard part of picking a piston, I know alot of people running cp 14:1 and i would like to go with the three rings for longevity. while looking on kbmotorsortsonline.com I saw they had an mx version and a reguler version but no 2 or 3 rings options. my question is what is the difference in the mx and regular versions and where can i get a 3 ring cp 14:1.

also while on the topic i heard crf pistons are lighter then the trx ones. would it be worth putting a crf one or is it possible to put a crf one in for the lighterness of it?

call them on the phone. they can answer with more knowledge than probably 90% of the answers you will get here.

JE makes a nice Pro-Series 3-ring with 13.5:1 compression. I haven't seen any 14:1 3-ring pistons out there, although they may exist.

I ran 13.5:1 on premium pump and I know people that run 14:1 on premium pump but I think I will mix 1/2 pump 1/2 race gas

and I'm 90% sure cp and weisco have a 3 ring 14:1 but am going to call a couple places tonight
