So today I got around to messing with my Air/Fuel switch.. Well when I was looking at my header pipes because they are like bright blue I saw this one cable was totally FRIED! I noticed that when I put on the headers I didn't really know where to put it, any answers mostly from people with Sparks Exhaust here is the link for the photo: http://s1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff481/bencasey217/?action=view&current=DSC_0205-2.jpg&t=1297043238060#!oZZ1QQcurrentZZhttp%3A%2F%2Fs1238 .photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fff481%2Fbencasey217%2F %3Faction%3Dview%26current%3DDSC_0205-2.jpg And here is the link for the picture of Air/Fuel screw if you're wondering: http://s1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff481/bencasey217/?action=view&current=DSC_0205-2.jpg&t=1297043238060#!oZZ2QQcurrentZZhttp%3A%2F%2Fs1238 .photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fff481%2Fbencasey217%2F %3Faction%3Dview%26current%3DDSC_0204.jpg it's the screw inside the white arrows

Need info on this matter too. Do you have the Sparks Exhaust to?

Its supposed to go thru the headers and if routed right it wont come into contact with them.

Buy a 250x cable, iirc 1992 is the year you want. Then route it OUTSIDE the headers along the oil lines, works great I replaced my cable after the same thing happened and im just waiting for it to go before I do the 250x one.

I cant get the rest of your links to work, just the clutch cable pic.

So it's the Clutch line? How did you get your's routed through the headers.. Did you unhook it through that little hook below the headers?

I took it off the case, or you can remove it from the lever.

Since its already burnt it might make the cable harder to pull anyways too.

FYI: cable may eventually snap if it burns any worse tho.

If you want, you canget some vacuum line hose, split it and ziptie it on to further protect that cable.

If you bend the bracket right it shouldnt, even if it does at least it melts the hose and not the cable.

I carefully bent my bracket (already broke one bending it they are flimsy if you bend it around enough) to make sure no matter what it wouldnt contact the header, so far so good for a long time now.

Like I said, should this one ever melt Im doing the 250x cable mod and never worrying again.

I got some zip ties and put it between through the headers but the lever is kinda hard to pull

Not only did I adjust the bracket so the cable didn't come in contact but I wrapped some header wrap around the cable that was close to the pipes. Worked great and has a heat shield now. Good luck.
