Welding ?

Just had a quik ? Can you weld aluminum with a wire feed mig welder with out a "Spool gun"? With out one does it it just take longer because it takes more wire?:confused:

u can but idealy u need a teflon liner as it will keep on snagging if u have a kink or weird angle in u r line as u use it. also contamination from other wires being used affects the overall finish.......must also run pure argon shield to get clean weld not as pretty as tig though....
