Does any one know of or have any suggestions on who can restore my 88 a-arms to match the factory color?

Pumashine did mine, and I'm super happy with them... They are in my resto thread. Paint is you're only option.

250rtrikes on ebay or bdt motorsports - buy a lot of chrome, polisehd and powdercoat from these guys, they are the best in my book - check them out-

wilderman, here you go... these were painted by Pumashine - he's meticulous, highly recommend..

btw, Thornfold you can't powdercoat or polish the stock aarms so your reference to BDT is irrelevant...

Anyone have that feeling that carlos is back?

Back to the question. If you are really good with a rattle can you can take the chrome paint spray your part and let it completely dry. Then cover it with clear coat from a can and you will not be able to tell a difference between factory oem silver and the finished product.

Derby, you can't compare Troys 3 part polyurethane to a rattle can. LOL!!! It just looks silver in the pic but I assure you it sparkles just a little better than OEM or your custom car finish.

I don't paint for a living but am willing to help out my 250r brethren anytime. Wild250rman I can do your arms for you if you would like. I would get Troys opinion on the quality to make sure thats what you want.

Why does the sidekick always suggest Ace when my name is mentioned? That post was very comical Troy.

wilderman, I can take some close up pics of aarms to make sure that's the color you want. They are a little more sparkly than stock, but they really look great in person. Also the finish seems really durable in the short time that I've had them mounted...

Another note, where do you all get your replacement bearings? I went with allballs and it was over 200 bucks to replace the bearings... I couldn't believe it. In fact, I ordered just one set of uppers and lowers (which are the same pn) thinking that it would come with the bearings for BOTH uppers and BOTH lowers, NOPE, just bearings/seals etc.. for 1 aarm for 49 bucks... unbelievable... I had no idea they were that high, OEM's were the same price...

These are $65 a side or $130 for a front end.
