limits on buying cars?

Does any body know what the limit of buying & selling cars is in Illinois? I like to switch vehicles and I'm hopefully about to get my third vehicle since last may. Somebody told me if you buy a certain number of cars you have to get a dealers liscense?

Not necessarily true. If you are buying cheap cars and selling them for a profit then the limit in Ill I believe is 5. BUT If you are buying cars as your personal car and actually driving them than there is no limit, buy and sell all you want.

its more then 3, but if you go to your states DMV website it should say
