im thinkin about building a freestyle jump in my yard not an mx track or anything just one jump to do some tricks and i was wondering what would be a good gap for it and how much dirt i would need and how much would it cost and would i be better off with a metal jump or dirt take-off

Thanks in advance

Both work well, and are about the same price. Couple hundred dollars either way for steel/wood or if you have to buy dirt. Nice thing about a ramp is you can change the distances very easy and can even take it with you if you go ride somewhere else.
I built this one back in the day, was a fun little ramp at only a little over 6' tall and it folded in half and would fit in the bed of a truck.
