adjusting 300 rear shock

How do you do it. I took presure off of the shock and tried prying the adjuster with a screwdriver, but i couldn't even get it to budge, are there any tricks to adjusting the shock.

this might sound kinda funny but this is how i did it. i got a hammer and a chizzel{sp?}. I lifted up on the back end and my dad hit the little notches until it moved up to where i wanted it. it actually worked good.

i way i always did it was use some channel locks just make sure the rear end is lifted up and it should turn easy

There's a tool called a spanner wrench that is made for adjusting coilover shocks without destroying the locking rings.
It is really just a quarter round or half round with a pin on the end.
Do a search on eBay I have seen them on there.

Can't believe Honda doesn't supply one, Yamaha does.
I took the one out of an old yamahas tool kit and it fits my honda shocks perfect.
