I am in progress of rebuilding a 2005 450R that I traded my 400ex for. When i got it it had a crack in the right crankcase cover so i had to replace that and besides that it was all stock with the HRC kit in it.
This is what im planning on adding to it
- Elka Quadrate stage 3 long travel front shocks
- Houser Slicast + 2.25 long travel A-arms
- Houser +1 Steering Stem 1 1/8 bar mounts
- Pro Taper Evo CR high
- Rock Kill Switch
- Race Harness
- G-Force Axle
- Elka Dual Rate Stage 3 rear shock
- Rath Pro-Peg Nerfs
- Ims Intimitador front bumper
- DWT champion in a box
- Maxxis razr MX
Im sure im fogetting stuff but thats a start
Stripping it down

I just like them better then other shocks.. i found a good deal on the fronts so i bought them and i already had the rear so i was all set.. I rode a 450 last year with fox floats and i didnt like the way they felt so i guess its just a preference thing

I powdercoated my last frame and i didnt feel like spending the money on this one when i can just paint it and then touch it up whenever i want.

Hate to look like a noob, but what is that blue air filterish looking thing sitting in with the other air filter?

Its a filter for the crankcase breather.. it came on the quad when i got it so i just left it there im not quite sure of the advantages of it besides that it keeps dust and dirt out of there..

the hose is for top and bottom end breather with a T fitting and routed into air filter, and depending on type of riding some dont have any filter
