I'm looking for a good big bore 250r motor. It must be in good shape. Cases, drain plug, crank, comp.... ect. I want somethng i can bolt it up and ride.

Do you want Resleeved OE cylinder or after market?

I have a PSI/LRD bog bore stroker or a LRD 310 P/V I will be selling soon
Both all new fresh not fired new bearings seals gaskets and pistons both perfect cases.

What are you wanting out of the 310lrd pv motor? Can you send me some pics?

Thats what the top end alone cost. ( you can check it out on there web site full port)
It is all new.
New hot rod, new coated 72.mm piston
cylinder coating is nikasil, just had it diamond honed and the shop said it had no ware.
New dome,all bolts and nuts new.
cases and trans are low hour 1987, but coated black instead of silver), all new bearings seals and gaskets.
Not fired yet.

thats a little more than i was wanting to spend. but if its all new. All the other motors i've been looking at dont have fresh cranks and top ends. I would really like to see some pics of it. What kind of port?

I dont think I will be in my shop befor that.
If you look it up on LRD,s web site it should tell what the porting is for, they only offer one on the 310 PV.
This will only be the second piston ever in it, top end still looks new as dose the bottom. I will try to get pics soon.

I got a few pics let me know what you think?
The motor is not fully assembled, as in the top end is in a seprate box, the clutch cover is not installed.
I leave them that way befor sal if some one wants to inspect them

The cylinder has one flaw in the coating,
It was scratched by a piece of debris, with the last piston.
I had supreior sleeve check it out and diamond hone it, I was told it would not affect performance at all, just look ugly.

Here is one of the clutch cover, the water pump has been rebuilt, all new bolts (same as the motor)
Also new clutch ready to install

Would you sell the top end? ...just curious. Wish I would have checked this thread before picked up a bottom end.. :)

I would rather sell the motor as a whole, but if I have it long enough I may sell just the top end?

Well I'm interested if you do end up selling, and if the above posters are not interested... I didn't want to hijack a thread, I'm looking to move on a top end in the next 2-3 weeks... my original plan is to buy a new LED 300PV top end, but if I can save some money that would be a much better plan for me, ...on that LRD PV top end...

I have both arlan is 2 blocks from my house, the new LED 300 is what I am currently running, have not dynoed it yet but we think 60ish rear wheel HP.

How would you compare the two setups? Sphinx vs. ProX cylinders? I know Arlan told me he modified the sleeve to get the port times corrected on the Sphinx for MX. I REALLY like that 300PV setup... Do you run an LED pipe too?

I like the sphinx in is a better casting and has huge ports (more flow more go)
The LRD PV motor was also ported by arlan and ran great tons of bottom end, it was on a quad I bought to part out, and the bottom end was dying so I really dident get to ride it, but its a kit LRD used to sell and I rode a few of my friends so I know how they pull compaired to the sphinx.
My sphinx was a early one port tining was too high, It had tons of top end but was a little weaker on the bottom than the pro x jug, in november arlan resleeved the sphinx I have and changed the port timing, I have only ran it around the yard, still waiting on the weather to get a full ride on it but so far it is much improved.
I dont have the LED pipe, still run my LRD team B, it works great.
again I will let you know if I dont sell the complete I may sell only the top but not likley, as far as whats out there new the sphinx is the top on the market, I dont know if CT is still selling the pro x jugs?

CT still deals with them ESR I think does the most with the 250r now, and LED. idk if ducan does much anymore.
