Sparks key question

Hey guys the first time I installed the key I didn't tighten is back enough or somethin and it broke the key so I ordered another one so I was just wonder is there any way I woud be able to tel if it was in right by the way it was running it runs good just sometimes when I crank it like the first time of the day if I just start it up without giving it gas right before it. Dies the motor will start cutting out And kinda bouncing it's really hard to explain anything will help thanks

As long as you got the key in with the notch flush or slightly below the edge of the key slot, kept the flywheel turned to the left, and torqued the bolt back down to 94ft/lbs you should be good. I did mine the same time as my white bros slip on and mainly noticed an increase mid to top end, and it idles a little higher.
