Hmf Preformance or FMF 4.1 (just the slip on)

fmf's junk compared to hmf. People will say that "everyone" has an hmf and get something else to be different but theres a reason some many people have hmf

fmf sucks. plain and simple. they are horrible. hmf is much better. which i voted for, but if it were me personally, i would buy a yoshimura. i love their exhausts. very high quality, good power gains and a beautiful deep silky sound.

FMF is one of the best 2-stroke exhaust's, but not the greatest 4-stroke brand.

I've always been a big fan of the HMF's, and personally almost all of my previous quads have had HMF's... Great exhausts and still my personal preference.

But FMF is not junk as said here, atleast not anymore. They are starting to get their quality on point, and the power gains are getting more impressive. Look around at the GNCC's and you'll see they are becoming more and more popular for their good power gains, but still moderate noise level.

Well the HMF is cheaper and FMF customer service seems to suck so far so that narrows it down a lot : )

2-stroke FMF > 4-stroke FMF
HMF > FMF

Hmf Has always been a good exhaust and stand behind there product but after being a dealer for 6 years now with them this past year i was really let down with there service when it took 4 months to get an exhaust that i was supposted to have in 2 weeks. But if you go with Hmf talk with mike he is #1 and on vacation when i ordered that exhaust. FmF is a main steam manf. i as a dealer have had good luck with service but they dont stand behind ther product i.e. if there product fails do to manf. flaw you still will pay for repair. both are good exhaust and willl give you the sound you want for the most part i do know that a full system
hmf has a higher power gain than fmf the also hmf also offers a quit core for about $50 retail for riding at national parks or some states.

just vague opinions!!! The data is when you ride it!! Thats all I needed. I have HMF. But Curtis Sparks is the best I think. Just super expensive.

how much difference have you guys noticed tossing on a slip on with your 450's? I noticed a huge difference on my cr250 2 stroke but never experienced one on a 450.

When I had my Predator, I put a white bros slip-on on. Didnt notice that much until I put the hotseat filter kit in and jetted it. Than it was a world of diff.

funny, i noticed no difference when i had a slip on on my kx125, but i noticed a difference when i had a full system. i pulled the spark arrestor out of the ktm and threw a fatter main in it and it felt like i got 2 hp lol

I hope you mean full exhaust.. lol.

Just the slip-on doesn't do dog dirt on a 2-stroke. Just makes noise. All the power is made in the head pipe (expansion chamber)

It may have felt quicker "mentally" because of the extra noise, but it wasn't.

The full FMF I put on my Tecate 4 made a hugh diff.

On my old blaster, I put an FMF Fatty head pipe on and an LRD silencer. Added a little bit of snap. (nothing major)

On the 400ex, the full exhaust made quite a bit of a difference. Pulled top end so much harder and smoother.

Banshee, forget it. The pipes were like adding a turbo. haha. (stock head pipes are super restrictive)

Fmf has stepped up with the four stroke stuff,my team and a few other big names have been doing rnd with the Suzuki ltr 450. Travis Moore will Be riding a Honda so well see . 2 stroke stuff exceeds the standard
I do like hmf on my farm equipment though

you'll see a considerable difference with just a slip on, open air box, and jetting change. you will see a bigger difference with the header. is it worth the extra money? well thats up to you. i like the full system. i like the extra power, and i like the way a full system looks on a machine.

This won't really mean anything to you since you don't have a Cannondale but the FMF Ti full system is hands down the best pipe for horsepower. I have to agree with a lot of these people that HMF is a quality product. I have had one on my cdale for 7 or 8 years now. It has held up well. The finish hasn't even worn anywhere!

Hmf for sure. Its my favorite brand, reasonable price and plenty of power. Plentyyyy of dyno charts to prove its better than an fmf on most 4 stroke quads. Just look around for a bit and im sure youll find some dyno charts.

I've always like HMF better than FMF but maybe thats just a personal preference. I've never used either one but if I did it would be the HMF for sure. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
