beef it up 7076 and some more bracing i would love to have one that could stand up to MX.

im not sure the 7076 is necessary...the arms will be .750 thick. but only weighing barely over 5lbs an arm and this perticular one im doing for me is a +3.......

after getting familiar with solid works i just import solid works drawings to master cam lifes much easier. should work for dune use. idk if id be willing to try it for mx.

i have always admired arched arms.

Could you elaborate a little bit? Your talking about the dog bone correct? Like an adjustable one?

You've already started working on brake stay plates. What about making a brake stay plate with the rotor fin similar to the blingstar ones. But not charge 2x what its worth like blingstar does? I really want one but blingstar doesn't make one for the R nor would I pay what they want for one.

I'd like a couple billet ressie clamps for aftermarket shocks. For a fair price of course. :D

Would need what diameter rezzies you have and what type of shocks.....

Here is a picture of the blingstar rotor guard (shark fin)
You can find them on their website but the pictures suck.
Maybe even do the sprocket rings too?

I make a nice sprocket guard for 30.00 bucks if you want one. I don't do the two piece thin one like blingstar, I do a 3/8 single sided, works great. I also have a rotor guard in cad, but have not started to cut them. Sorry not trying to steal work or anything. I just make them as a favor to racing friends and people around.

Also I did pm you about the idea I have for an adj. cr500 link. I just don't have access to a machine to make it but I could draw it in cad for you if you wanted to work something out, You could import my solidworks files like they were talking about above. Don't know if thats a big "seller" really but I like adjustability just to mess around like most 250r guys do, and alot of guys run cr links.

I dont see it being a problem to make these. I do see it being a problem cutting blingstars price in half.......its $30.00 just in material for a block that size.......and they charge $109 for the guard......be tough to beat. Certinatly cant do it the way im doing this now. Im doing al this stuff at my work. A buddy of mine over at poorboy performance are trying to get the funds together so we can set up a shop. (just got the building) If we can get set up to do production runs then i dont see this being an issue. So for as "IDEAS" keep 'em coming!!!!

what will one of these swingers cost?

front hubs are an idea. they cost big money to get aftermarket.

trx750gsxr

I'm thinking around $300 not coated. Cheaper they any other +3 arm

Want to get this one done and prove it out first.

Hmm. I'm a little worried about the strength of the shock mounting tabs, I don't think that setup would hold up to the abuse of MX. Not a big deal because it's not designed for MX, but you would have to be really clear about that to potential customers.

trx750gsxr
04-07-2011, 12:57 PM
That's why I said I'm gonna prove this one out. Make sure it holds up.....

+3 is 8lbs. Soon as I prove this one I will see what I can do. Stock all the way to a +9 would be my guess. Hopefully she works out

Oh and for the record a stock swing arm weighs 14.5

Nice work!! I really like it. That cross brace across the front might be a good idea in giving it more strength in the front.
