Best Carb Upgrade

Wondering what everyone's opinion is on the best carb upgrade? Jetted, 450r, an Aftermarket setup, etc.

Id say that a 450r carb, or a FCR carb would be the best upgrades with the FCR being the best.

i made more power with a fcr carb.......but they are not cheap thou

lectron is the best. hands down. plus there is not jets to change to adjust the carb. just a metering rod.

i would run a 39mm Curtis Sparks Racing carb that what i have and that well really open ur quad up but it 509.85 sparks racing.com

The fcr carb works well on the 400ex but as someone has said it is a more expensive option.

2) lectron or curtis sparks 3) 450r

1.) Lectron
2.) Curtis Sparks
3.) FCR
4.) '04-'05 42mm

Curtis Sparks would be the most expensive, followed by the Lectron, FCR and 42mm.

I ran for years a Edelbrock 440 Doug Eichner series, easy to adjust jetting an gave great power gain, the only thing I didn't like is it had a heavier thumb throttle than stock...I've heard the FCR are kinda the same. I put a 04' 450R carb on my KTM hybrid, great power after jetting an it was only 75.00 off ebay an so EASY thumb throttle....just my 2 cents. Good luck.

yeah for the kind of riding I do and my pocketbook, the 450r carb is lookin like the best option for me...im runnin a 406, hmf full exhaust, stage 2 cam, k and n filter as of now
