View Full Version : key relocation ideas

ok i ordered a kx250 killswitch and a tether kill switch. Now i need ideas on where to relocate my key, i chopped the bug eyes and put on a race hood. So if anyone has any ideas of what they did or even better a picture of it i would really appreciate it.

Why don't you just bypass the key and not use it

uhmm.you better be puttin pics up of your quad with the new things!(;
anywaysss.what i did was when i got my new bars the stock dash obviously wouldnt work.so me and my dad,took a small piece of stainless metal,drilled 2holes to mount it on the handlebar clamps.then drilled 3 holes(1 for the key,1for the reverse light,and 1 for the neutral light.)it works very well.ill try and go back and find the thread where everyone posted there ideas for key relocation

perfect. i can definately figure somthing out now. Only thing that makes it a little tricky is i have Tag fat bars, so im not sure if i can do somthing similar to yours.

I mounted my key to one of my air scoops. Looks real good, unfortunately I don't have a picture.

wow the hood looks nice.and the clamp closest to your body you drill 2holes in the metal and put it on the clamp,then put the clamp bolts in.basically have the piece of metal inbetween the handlebar clamps.it should work regardless.or theres always the drill holes in the plastic idea.you can always put it there.
