What kind of riding are you doing?

If you are racing or trail riding at all, I wouldn't get any type of SS wheels (But I wouldn't ever get a set for a quad anyways), instead I would go with the T-9 Baja's or a set of OMF beadlocks since their right around the same price.

For trails and cross country, the Razr2's are great, but some of the best all around tires are the Holeshot HD's, they also last forever, and are right around the same price.

As for the size, drop to 18's in the rear and 20's in the front if your doing mx, and keep it stock sized if your doing anything else.

I'd go with normal Rzrs for everyday riding conditions. The 2s are really aggressive and heavy.

K I just ride trails nothin too bad can be a lot of mud at times I may just go with the razrs instead of the 2 so should I stay stock size

And why not the ss are they not as durable I don't know much about them just kinda liked the looks of them

And also this is dumb of me to ask but Idk much about the sizes but stock rear is 20x10-9 and every tire I look at is 20x11-9 So that means they are wider right and what's the -9

The -9 is the rim size. So as long as you get a -9 tire it'll fit your stock rims. If its -11-9 it'll fit a -9 rim just be wider than your stock tire

I wouldnt waste my money on the ITP wheels, seen more than a few of them bend. I prefer the .190 or 1.60 douglass wheels or rocky mtn sells a really nice rolled lip bead wheel called the g-force thats basically a copy of your standard wheels.

As for tires, best combo all aorund is razr 2 front and regular razrs for the rear (6 ply for both imho). If your in the mud and gook alot then razr 2s all around would helpb ut you must remember they are quite heavy.

I love my razr 2s they are a bit heavy but the gained traction and puncture resistance was an even trade off IMO. I ride mostly woods trails some of which are pretty rocky, occasionally I will hit the mx track when I get the chance (none local). As for wheels you cant go wrong with douglass .190s if you got the cash I would go for some hiper cf1 beadlocks (on my wish list)

Then go for the OMF beadlocks if you want black wheels, they can pc the wheels any color you want and put and color rings you want on them. my favorite:

Those would go great with my red black 400

cheaper cost is black rocky mtn geforce wheels.

FYI: from riding the black will come off from scratches and stuff

Since your trail riding, definitely a thick front, something along the lines of Holeshot HD, Holeshot GNCC, Razr2... 21x7 - 22x8's will work.

For the rears, if it's really muddy, I'd go with the razr2's, or Holeshot HD's. If it isn't always muddy, the Razr or Holeshot GNCC tires would work well, Something along the lines of 20x11 regardless of what tire you get.

For the wheels, I'd still go with the OMF Beadlocks as pictured above, or a set of black ITP Baja T-9's.

Sounds like your getting it figured out though, any more questions don't be afraid to ask.

Ok, so the wheel sizes are, 8x8 which means 8 inch wheel, 8 inches wide, and 9x9, which is 9 inch rim 9 inch wide, and the same with the 10x8 you would most likely go with the 9x9, which is the same size as a factory honda rear wheel.

10x5 is the only front wheel in the baja series, and is the same size as a factory honda front wheel.

The 3+5 is the wheel offset, which is the location of where the wheel mounts, the correct offsets for a 400ex in the Baja's are 3+2 in front, and 3+6 in the 9 inch rear.

So, put that all together, and you'll be looking at:

Fronts : 10x5 Inch, 3+2 Offset, 4/110 Bolt Pattern

Rears : 9x9 Inch, 3+6 Offset, 4/144 Bolt Pattern

As for the tires, I wouldn't see a huge difference in running a Razr2 or HD up front, as far as speed, and since the fronts will be taking trail abuse I would probably go with one of those.

But in the rear I wouldn't see any problem in running a regular razr, but I would still go with a 6 ply version, just because it would be more puncture resistant.

Everybody had to ask at some point.. But to clea lr things up the rear bolt patrern you want it 4/110, and the front is 4/144

Motosport Hilsboro is local to me, they are great to order parts through, I recently got my ASV levers from them and couldn't be happier. Never have ordered from them online, but I have ordered from Rocky Mtn. ATV, and they were great.

And I messed up on the bolt patterns, it is 4/110 rear and 4/144 front.
