Hey guys, I just rebuilt my 416EX and I'm planning on getting a new spark plug before I fire it up and am considering the E3 spark plug. I have googled and come up with many different opinions but have any of you guys tried it and what do you think?

Like I said, I just rebuilt my top end and don't want to screw up anything, especially over a spark plug!

I'm still running my E3. Had a couple of NGK's die on me in smaller various pieces of equipment, so decided to try something different. The E3 runs real good, idles smother and I've had no issues, knock on wood. Got about 10 rides on it at about 4 hrs. each ride.

I prefer Champion plugs over NGK, but that is just me.

Dont mess with the E3, it is a gimmick plug.

I've been running them in my truck for about 1 and a half years and have yet to have any problems from them. Honestly, I think they may have helped my mileage and give it a lil more pep down low but that may just be all in my head from all the hype I read about them.

I checked their powersports page and they have a plug for the 400EX, so I figure it will at least run with the plug and possibly help it run smoother. I don't mind paying the extra money even if it does help anymore than a NGK or Champion plug. Will never know until I try I guess..

Anyone know anyone that has had problems with them??

What is funny is they can't claim facts. They have to label it on there page as a theory!

My buddy and I both have 2010 Camaro SS's. He did a little work with his and got it dynoed with stock plugs and with E3's. He lost 10hp with the E3's. I know its a car vs an atv but after that I wouldnt bother with them.

I run E3 in everything i own. I was sold on them in my 450R. With the Denso i was gettin a slight fuel puff of smoke when jabbing the throttle and always had a black plug. I went with an E3, lost my puff of smoke and it burnt cleaner. (chocolate colored plug). Could be wrong but that seems to tell me they burn a little hotter. But thats something you could possibly eliminate with a hotter NGK or just playing with jetting but since the E3 fixed it for me i stuck with it.

NGK makes an iridium and a titanium type plug. maybe try one of them.
