Hope ya'll might be able to help me out a bit. I bought a 95 rm 125 about month ago. I did a top end rebuild changed fluids. An it fired right up, but it idles rough and when you go to rev it it'll shut off. Not sure if its the cdi or carb. The CDI is weird looking not a normal cdi box for my bike. But its got spark so not sure bout the cdi. Maybe my floats??

Is the carb clean? What are you mixing the oil/gas at? Make sure you jet it right. Also let the bike warm up completely. My bike runs like hell if I don't let it warm up. Once the rad gets warm to touch you should be good to go.

Theres an adjustment screw on the side of the carb between where the air box attaches and the slide, turn the screw in about a turn and see what happens. This isnt the idle screw its the mixture screw. Sounds like you're lean, this will richen it up.

Try cleaning everything inside of the carb. Take everything out, clean it, put it back in.

I've cleaned the carb and the plug looks good. But i probably need some fresh gas too its not the freshest. I messed with it again today started up an idled for about 20seconds then just bogged down once i tried to rev. I'll richen up the mixture 2marrow an see how it goes.
