Just bleed my brakes on the front of my R. The fronts are stuck closed. When I roll it around they seem to free up a little. They've been sitting for a few years. Is this something I can hit with some penetrating oil and ride and they will work free, or do I need a rebuild. GOt a race on saturday so I need to figure this out. I also have some 400ex spindles and brakes if I need them, but I'd rather run my R stuff if Possible.

is the slides stuck or the piston? you shouldn't need to rebuild them to free the slides.

they close, they just don't reopen enough to free up the wheels.

my buddy ryan drilled and tapped mine, put a grease fitting in there and then used hydraulic pressure from the grease gun to force them out.

I would rebuild them if they never been done. They will drag after each time you use them.

sometimes they just need a tap with a rubber mallet to get it into position so it isnt stuck against the brake disk. if you follow what i mean.
