I started a thread a while back and it got way off topic so im just going to make a new one.

I plan on...
-powdercoat frame, swingarm, and aarms
-wiseco 87mm piston (416) 11:1
-stage 2 hotcam
-450r shocks
-maybe 450r carb
-replace all the rusty bolts, which is alot

I got everything apart no problem but ran into a huge problem with the swingarm bolt but after a lot of work i got it out.

Feel free to make any suggestions on what else i should do.

Heres when i started

well if youve ever been on the cape theres powerlines and pits around, not many but its enough. PA landers has a few pits around here but most of the time you can only get a good hour riding in there before the environmentals show up. The thing that sucks is that all my friends i used to ride with got their licenses and never ride anymore, i have my license too but I cant get enough riding i go every chance i get. is there any good riding up in fall river?

Yea I ride with a few guys here in the area. Same thing here. Theres a few pits but the enviromentals show up after a lil while. Late last summer I found a spot about a half hour south of here and it looks promising. Will find out more this spring. Got to fix my wheeler first.

You can replate the bolts. That will make them look new it would be cheaper than replacing them all.

aarms and swingarm black

I'm in the same situation... but I also need to split the cases to replace the crank (bad rod). While everything's apart I'm also going to paint the frame. Since the plastic is black, with the red seat, I too am thinking candy red for the frame. Are you going to use a rattle can or do you have access to an air sprayer?

Powdercoat. You'll regret ANY form of paint. That is if you wanna ride it afterward and it still look descent......

Looks awesome so far. Are you going to use the same plastics on it? It is hard to see but it looks like they could use some shining up.

Yea the plastics are going to get cleaned they've been sitting in the basement for a while and got pretty dusty I just had to put them on to connect the key switch

I got a problem though. When I was putting it all back together I tried to start it to make sure all the wires are right and the engine made an effort to start. Now I moved it to my garage and now it wont even try to start but the neutral light is on. I don't get it I havnt done anything since yesterday but move it. I tried unplugging every wire and connect them all again and still nothing. What could it be????!

Battery may be low enough to light the neutral light but not strong enough to turn the motor over. Put a charge on it for a few hours and try it again. I hope its something that simple.
