I wonder what it will sell for or if it will ever meet its reserve. Who ever owns it has some money. There's a nice Porsche in the background.

Last time I saw it listed for sale, Lonestar wanted 17000$ for the bike!

Didn't it have clear plastic on it at one time? I know one of Skyler Stewart's old CRF's had clear plastic on it, but I thought this one did too at one time. Also, didn't Keith Little race a full titanium LSR 250R at some TT's a few years ago? I think they also tested one for MX but I remember hearing something about how it flexed so much, they couldn't get the camber and caster dialed it so it would handle worth a chit.

Yup, i have pics somewhere of that crf with the clear fenders on it Pretty sure they were laker fenders. And i think your right on the flex deal, i know i remember hearing about the handling issues of them.

I thought just the opposite was true? I thought the titanium actually had such little flex (or no flex at all) that it would just shatter?

TI has alot of flex, but also breaks. It changes shape alot under stress, but also seems hard actually bend. Most of the time the flex springs back to shape instead of staying bent. Hence TI springs...

290 lbs. Through a 250 motor in there and you would have one light and agile quad.

Titanium in its natural form ( pure titanium) is a very soft metal kinda like aluminumIt is actually a titanium alloy when used in structural type settings such as this. The major advantage of Ti as compared to steel is the weight of titanium is less than half the weight of steel. This means that you can have a piece of titanium tube that is twice the thickness but still weighs less. The thickness is what provides the strength and decrease in flex. when comparing to steel at the same thickness of a hardened steel or chromoly the steel and chromoly ar actually stronger than titanium and about 10x less in cost.

I'd entertain the thought of buying something that rare if Mark L. or Mike Walsh built it. I don't think it would last a riding season considering the source.

Yeah he had a complete exhaust system for a Ferrari Modena listed on there last week. My first thought was- do dudes that drive Ferrari's browse ebay for used Ferrari parts? LOL
