Want to build for a 9 year old getting off a 90cvt. What is the best frame and motor combo? Son has a tall thin build so I was thinking a Blaster would be best, weight and size comparison is a 250x or 300 much bigger? This is a budget build so JB and other setups are out. Thanks for the help.

i have a 250r roller all after market set up for a wr or yz250 now but could modded for an 85 with a little work. nice thing is radiator is already there unlike the blaster, 250, or 300ex. and the handleing is no comparison.

I would do a blaster with a 85 or 125 motor, I think if you setup for a 85 I believe the cr85 and 125 models use the same mounts and mounting locations.

I would build for the 85, then up him to a 125 when hes ready.

I find blaster rolling chassis all the time here in south FL on craigs list, I also see running 85's for under 800.
