05 400 ex carb install on a 99 400ex

since the carb on my 99 is no good because you can't replace the seat on the fuel valve. i got a carb off an 05 which is a touch bit different than the 99's. on the side of the carb where the choke is there is a small hose which the carb on my 99 doen't have, can anyone tell me where that hose is routed to and what its for?

i bellive it is a breather line or overflow line. not sure which u just need to place it so it is faceing down toward the bottom of the bike
