Frame Gussets

Well I finally got around to it today. Cracks were forming around both of my front foot peg mounts on the top side. I had a guy die grind into the cracks and then tig them out. We then fabbed up some nice little gussets that wrapped around the top half of each mount and welded them up. Hope we didn't put too much heat into the area, but I think it's ok. Now I don't have to worry about my foot pegs giving out. Has anyone else welded theirs up?

walsh sells a gusset kit that goes around the foot-peg mounts...thts wht i out on mine

Yeah I was going to order one, but I think what we did was better. The gussets they sell focus mainly between the two peg mounts. We put more of the gusset on the top side of the mounts because all the stress is in a downward force.
