Actually this is the best lighting available. As for being ugly?? I think it looks great. Looks like a Desert Beast! If you ride at night you can only ride as fast as you can see!!

Doug,
That is one SICK lighting set-up. I have never seen one that good on a 450R! Did you make your own bracket? Two thumbs up!
I guess Honda4life05 thinks that is twice as ugly? lol
That set-up looks Great!!
Does your stock stator handle both lights?

I didn't build it, it is a Baja Designs quick release setup. The mount itself bolts to the quad. The lights are mounted to a cradle that is attached with pins to the mount. Pull two clips and unplug the lights and the lights come right off.

They do work with the stock stator, but I did have to add a small battery pack. (My 450R is a kick start model.) At very low rpms, the stator cannot keep up with the lights, so it needs the battery. Works great, I bought it back in 2006 and have a bunch of time on it. Have never had one problem. I attached another pic below.

Mines setup for desert. At 51" wide, I am no where near narrow enough to be a GNCC quad. I would just be a road block!

That looks identical to the one Harbor Freight used to sell. And I can tell you first hand that biatch is bright!

Those set ups are really cool! About how much do they weigh?

weight is not a concern when you are going 80 mph+ on a moon less night across the desert, it is very easy to out run your lights

Well stated OutlawBill! Been there so many times and hurt a few going faster than lights could shine!!!
But weight i think was 4.95 lbs!
Well worth the extra weight!

I am going to guess my dual setup weighs 10-12 lbs? That is just the lights, the mount is a few more. If I think about it tonight, I will put them on a scale and see.

But like Outlawbill and Doc said, they are well worth it, I don't have a problem outrunning my lights.

you need to check out the lazer-star lights much brighter / smaller with less weight and have less amp draw.

Alright, just my lights alone weigh 9.6 lbs, not to bad. I am not to worried about weight. Since I have a desert quad, the thing is already a tank!

Dennis45,
Laser Star lights? Hopefully you are joking? If not..... You are crazy.
2 Laser star lights are nothing to 1 8" HID race light. Not even close to be compared!
Alos 2 Laser Star lights draw more than my light!!!
